Living in Idlib as displaced families from Aleppo, both Mariam and Salma are second-year Arabic language students. Despite the challenges, they have hopes for a better future. Mariam suffers from eye problems, and her family relies on the income of her brother, who dropped out of school to work in a tailor shop.
